PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Xerxes II to Artaxerxes II, circa 420-375 BC. Siglos (Silver, 17 mm, 5.50 g), Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes. Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance to right, holding spear in his right hand and bow in his left. Rev. Rectangular incuse punch. BMC Arabia pl. XXV, 26. Carradice Type IIIb, Group C (pl. XIV, 37). Slightly rough and with banker's marks on the obverse, otherwise, good fine.
